Not best for plus size women. Size Chart: I took my measurements multiple times. Self taught sewist. 46″Bust 39″ Waist.40DD, 5’5″, 178lbs. Hourglass shape, with small hips. By the chart I should have ordered a 4X or 5X. I ordered 4X after reading reviews. You can tell by the photos, I’d wager it was at LEAST 4″ wider on the waist on both sides, a little less maybe in the bust.Quality. It was decent material for the price. Sewn well enough for some wear, but maybe not a lot of wear. Would wash on gentle/cold and hang dry. Steamer or iron would be fine on lower heat. I think the quality is really good.(I think a petticoat is necessary for costume wear, but not for casual wear.)The fit/Style: Not happy with this part, but it’s possible all my issues with it are because it was so large on me, personally. For plus size, the bust and shoulders are not proportionate to the photo’s style itself; as you can see in my photos. It is thicker and not flattering at all. Seems made for a small frame and not tailored to fit plus size people. If you like the larger and wider shoulder covering this might work for you. Fit, Quality, Color Acceptable for Price and Expectations. SIZE:I am generally in between sizes (in this case Medium and Large) but to err on the side of caution in accordance with other reviews, I ordered a Large. (For reference, my measurements are roughly 34-36″ bust (I wear 34C or 36B bras depending on brand/fit), 28-31″ waist depending on the day, 40-41″ hips or so, and I’m 6’1″ tall). I could probably have done just fine in a Medium; I can cinch the laceup in the back all the way tight in the large and I’m still by no means squished. The skirt falls just to my knee. Reasonably expected/flattering fit. Not too tight or too gappy/low cut in the chest. I couldn’t get the removable waist tie to lay nicely in a bow without the fabric scrunching up, so I opted to have it as just a flat belt in the front and tie it in the back when I tried it on. I do think the tie gives it slightly more shape at the waist and makes for a nicer look. I bought a petticoat to wear underneath this based on other complaints that the skirt did not hang nicely otherwise, but being that I am just wearing it out to dinner and such, not as any kind of costume or theme thing, I found it kind of poofy and awkward looking with the petticoat; I like the look and the flattering lay of the dress without anything underneath.COLOR:I ordered the solid red. I was a little worried it would be a garish orange color, but I feel like it is true to advertised color. Brilliant bright red. No real complaints or concerns there; I would say overall I got what I ordered.QUALITY:Based on the product price, description, reviews, etc. The quality was about what I expected. The fabric is fairly stiff and not elastic but this is what I wanted and expected; I do not consider this a flaw. There were a few loose threads sticking out and such, which bothers a lot of people, but the structural integrity of the dress seems in tact and any loose threads or other minor defects seem removable or at least not distracting to the overall appearance. The dress did come very wrinkled (no shock there) but I would be CAREFUL ironing. The product description say you can iron it on low settings, but I attempted this and not only can I not get a lot of the wrinkles out, but I appear to have done some minor damage to the fabric. I think it is still wearable in public, but if you look too closely or in really good lighting, there are some spots where the fabric is a little bit shiny/discolored/heat damaged, even though I followed instructions, which is really unfortunate. The fabric is not sheer or abrasive/uncofortable on the skin, so no complaints there.Overall, so far, the dress is not flawless for sure, but I can’t say I’m disappointed, either. I have not worn for more than a few minutes at this point, though, so I may add pictures or further details once I wear it to my Valentine’s day date tonight 🙂

Poorly made, doesn’t match the photos, and completely wrong in many ways. I normally don’t do this kind of thing but this is absolutely unacceptable. The dress that arrived was completely WRONG in so many ways, that it matches the display photos in aesthetic only. If I could give 0 stars, I would because this is absolutely unacceptable. I read the reviews at first and I was very optimistic because the display photos show the aesthetic that I’m trying to go for with my character, however I was sorely mistaken by actually believing it could come out good.As a drag performer, I know a good quality garment when I see one and this is anything but. The material feels like those cheap sheets you can buy at family dollar for like $2.50, where as the display photos and description make it seem like it would be a soft and elegant fabric. The overall cut is absolutely atrocious and barely resembles what one could call a dress, it’s more like an over embellished smock or muumuu.The quality of this garment is very poor and seems to have been slapped together like some last minute middle school project. It looks NOTHING like the photos displayed on Amazon. The waist line? WRONG! The arm holes and shoulder area? WRONG! The way it flares out at the bottom in the photos? Non existent and laughable! It also arrived severely wrinkled to the point where I’m not sure I’ll be able to repair it, the wrinkles in the shoulder area always shrink back into their wrinkled state no matter how hard I try to get it to stay put.Even outside third parties that I’ve shown side by side comparisons of the display photos vs what arrived agree that it’s not what’s being advertised at all.If I didn’t need this for work it would go straight into the trash. I shouldn’t have to find a way to fix a garment that I just bought because of how negligible the description of it is, as well as how awful the cuts are.I’m extremely disappointed in this purchase and will certainly never order from this seller again, and will definitely be cautioning others to stay away as well.SAVE YOUR MONEY! Seem authentic, seen the same dress in rockabilly stores for twice the price and the material seems the same. It’s definitely heavy cotton, holds its shape well after washing. A crinoline underskirt would make it super flattering

Sizes run small. For such a low cost dress, the quality was decent. I normally wear medium, sometimes large, size dresses, but the XL size for this dress fit me great. So be prepared to order a size or two above your normal size.
Disappointed with purchase. The pictures are very deceiving. There are no pleats in the dress. The dress in the picture looks long and lean when the dress we got was short and fat.

Perfect for busty girls. I LOVE IT! It’s absolutely adorable and so flattering. I wear my 50s dresses with a quality petticoat to get the big flair in the skirt. This fabric is actually a good quality thickness though. So for those who don’t wear petticoats, it could still look great.I usually have a problem with these dresses not being made for larger busts. I’m a 42DDD and this looks so great on me! The secret is the stretchy back! Beneath the lace-up back is very stretchy so it would give a flattering fit on a wide range of bust sizes. I’m wearing a strapless bra in the picture. I was afraid the back might be too low to hide it, but that’s not a problem at all.The side zipper is, of course, clutch! No help needed to get in an out.I’m impressed with the fabric thickness. These are usually a very cheap fabric. This one is durable and absolutely no transparency. The top is even lined.I usually wear a 2x in normal women’s cloths (or an XL in unisex shirts). I sized up to a 3X because that’s always a good idea in these types of dresses. And it’s a perfect fit. Cute dress; stiff cotton material. I’m 5’9” 180 lb with a long torso and small/medium bust. Ordered a Medium. I generally fit in medium dresses when they’re stretchy because size larges are usually too big in the bust for me. This is a size Medium in the photo. It’s pretty cozy up there in the chest because the material is not stretchy and it is zippered all the way up the back. I’m going to try a size large just for reference but I’m happy with the chest coverage in the medium.It’s very flowy in the waist which is nice for dinner events that might leave you normally trying to suck it in. NO POCKETS!!The zipper is not top quality so I can imagine if you’re not careful, it will break with too much force so trust the person zipping you up with all your heart. FYI, There is a band just under the cups that create an extra tuff of material that the zipper has to gently yet also firmly get over.I ordered a few white belts that might add some flare to that band nicely but can also be worn as is!Easy to dress up for a formal event (why I bought it) or throw on a Jean jacket and flats and go casual.Again material is stiff—no stretch, so it’s slightly restricted in the arm pits but not so much that I cant raise my arms. I’m happy with the arm pit coverage which is always a self conscious trigger for me. I’ll have to follow up with what it looks like when I sweat here…Overall, there are lots of mixed reviews on this one but I say take the risk and try it on. My husband seemed genuinely wowed when I walked in the room. The only thing that would make this a 5 star dress is POCKETS! And maybe a 1-2% elastic material blend for some breathing room.

Beware–there is absolutely NO stretch in the fabric. That said, it is super-cute and has the pin-up vibe I was going for. Depending on how you wear it, it can go from rockabilly to Lucy Riccardo.Comments about the side zipper are all true. Is there anyone who likes a side zipper? Who invented this idea? However, it is sturdy enough, although, like every side zipper ever, has a tendency to stick at the waist seam.Comments about the extremely creased condition out of the package are also true, but ironing did the trick.I would buy similar from this seller again.
Would not recommend. Purchased for my sister, in her size, she was not able to even get it over her shoulders and actually had to have help to get it back off. She called me stating this must be “a costume dress, made for children to dress up in”. Though upon checking it again, it definitely states it is “women’s size”.

This dress is perfect. I am a larger hourglass figure that normally wears a size 12-14 and the Large was the perfect size. I got this for my husbands best friends wedding and the color of the Dark Blue is exactly what I needed. He’s the best man so I want to look good with his suit but not match the wedding colors in Wine.The material is the sheer, polyester feel which I love, but it does wrinkle easily and doesn’t have a lot of stretch. I don’t mind these things, a good rinse and hang dry then a quick, light ironing on low heat usually does the trick with this kind of fabric. The hem is a bit long but the bust is perfect, especially with the holding stitch removed and the higher waist line and flared skirt hide my new mom belly really well. The capped sleeves make this perfect for most occasions. The zipper is a bit sticky so expect help to close the back.All in all, perfect for the occasion I bought it for and will probably become a staple in my wardrobe!
Practical and Pretty. omg it’s sooo soft and isn’t too see through like some white clothes can be. My only complaint is that it’s hard to thread the ribbon in the lacing, but you only have to do it once so it’s not horrible.

I absolutely love this dress. I bought it in navy blue originally from another supplier but it didn’t fit right and the material was really stiff so I sent it back. I bought the white one with the lemons on it from this supplier and the material was much softer but same design. It is extremely comfortable and I recieved a lot of compliments on it. I like that when it’s windy the dress doesn’t flip up, it has enough weight to it to hold it down. I want one in every color now!

The dress came in and I noticed it is very cheap material and should not be advertised as womens plus size but as juniors clothing, theres no string to lace it with (as advertised) and the material has zero give to be able to alter the dress smoothly or at all… I would expect this dress with its quality to be half the price of what its being marketed as and would stronly suggest finding anything else other than this dress to anyone and everyone

Top of dress is smaller. This dress is beautiful, but it runs small especially the top. I had to reorder this dress 3x until I found the right size (I’m usually an XL, but I ended up the 3XL). But once I found the right size, I loved it and it is a HIT!

The instructor even invited me to stand at the front of the room when discussing ‘proper attire’ for a Garden Tea Party! …curtsy… i have washed the dress on delicate cycle in cold water, tumbled low heat until slightly damp, then hung to air dry. Ironed immediately so deep wrinkles wouldn’t set in. Like brand new!! Ladies, BUY this DRESS!! It is WORTH every penny!! Do NOT buy the cheaper (polyester) versions to save a few bucks–i did and returned every single one of the cheapos! Comfortable and fits great. This looks better in person than online. It’s definitely shorter than the midi style that’s shown in the photos but I prefer knee length so that doesn’t bother me. For reference I’m 5’8” 165 and got the large and it zips right up. There is no stretch to this but it doesn’t feel restrictive. I love the nod to Frida Kahlo. They just missed the unibrow!! Not quite the fit. So aside from the poor lighting in the one photo, the dress came in very wrinkled. It feels more like a tablecloth at a mid rated restaurant, and the zipper feels like it will not last. The color is nice though. I like the length on me (I am 5’ 9” and it comes to about my knees). I do not like how the top is fitted. Too much room in the armpit/bust area, and it leaves this weird gap of extra fabric. The dress has some stretch, but I feel sizing down to address the top of the dress would have made it too tight. Photos are with the dress right out of the bag. Now I am stuck trying to decide if it is worth keeping and trying to get out the wrinkles and fit it better. The idea is really adorable, and I was really hoping for better.
The material is terrible. But it is a decent looking dress. I wish it had more definition for the bust portion of the dress to give it more definition. It’s cheap but for 15 bucks I really can’t complain. I wish it was a better fabric. It’s rough and on my sensitive skin it’s not exactly comfortable.

Would definitely buy in more colors. I’m 55’ 140 pounds 38 c cup and I ordered a size medium. It was a little loose around my hips and bottom area but around the rib cage and upper body was pretty snug. It’s a very cute dress would definitely order more colors.

Beautiful fabric. Great fit. I was pleasantly surprised when I received this dress. The fabric is soft and silky feeling but still has a good “weight”. It fits me perfectly and looks great. I also bought a crenoline slip which really makes the dress look even better. I will wear this dress again soon!
Pretty dress, odd sizing. The dress looks like the picture. I thought the fabric quality was good. The stitching holding the overlap in the chest is oddly placed and makes it sit weird. I sized up to a large but wish I didn’t. The shoulders and chest area were large on me (which on my body is why I had sized up). The fabric is stretchy so you could probably size down. The wrinkles are hard to get out.It is light weight, a good length, and very comfortable. I love the look and I had a lot of difficulty finding something like this with nice coverage.

I am plus size 18 and the 2xl fit perfect. The dress fit great I bought two colors the white and champagne for two events in would purchase it again another color ! Great price ! Beautiful material !

Wore for my Graduation, it was perfect. This dress is classy, comfortable, and looks great! I wore it to my graduation and I could probably also wear it to a cocktail party, especially with some different shoes and jewelry. Everyone complimented me on it, and the size was spot on based on Amazon’s size guide. The fabric is a nice weight and feels surprisingly high quality for the price.
