Let’s Cut The BS – This Is What You Need To Know About Launch Jacking
By now you’ve probably heard about a new product called Launch Jacking and are wondering what it’s all about and whether it’s worth buying. In this post I’m going to cut the bull shit and tell you the truth.
Here’s the truth. Launch Jacking is NOT new! There have been countless number of products on the subject over the past couple of years.
Launch Jacking is basically the process of finding a product that is going to come out soon and then getting your website to the top of Google to capture some of the sales from people doing a Google search during the buzz period of the launch.
It’s very simple stuff and it’s not new.
I don’t want to brag here but I was one of the first people to do Launch Jacking years ago!
I’ve been doing this since 2004! Waaaaay before any of the “Gurus” or before people started creating products on the subject so I know a little bit about the subject of “Launch Jacking”.
Here’s What You Need To Know!
Back when I started doing this in 2004 there was absolutely ZERO competition. I could guarantee myself the number one spot for a product launch within hours.
I used to have $2,000 days from an hours work because there was no competition. But back then product launches were scarce.
Then a few years later when internet marketing products became more popular there were more products for me to promote.
So the $2,000 days became more regular.
Then gradually some more competition came about. At around 2007 I was now competing with around 5 other people.
I could guarantee that when a product was launching there would be us 5 on the front page all competing to out rank each other.
So now I was averaging maybe $500 per launch depending on where I was in the top 5. It was still good though and a lot of fun.
But then gradually people on forums started to see us on the front page for every launch and they wanted in on the action.
So naturally the competition started to grow and it got harder to get the top spot in Google for these launches.
The next thing I knew the “Gurus” started to take notice of what we were doing and they created their crappy little products that showed the masses that they could make money Launch Jacking.
Since then there’s been a ton of products on the subject so now for every product launch in the Internet Marketing field there’s literally hundreds of people competing for chump change. It’s just not worth it anymore to actively go after the internet marketing product launches.
However that doesn’t mean that Launch Jacking doesn’t work, because it does.
The key to making money from product launches now is to forget about the IM launches because they’re just far to competitive for too little money.
Sure you might make $500+ from the number 1 spot of an IM product launch but with all those people competing you may have to spend a few weeks trying to prove to Google that your site is the one for the top spot. So it’s just not worth it.
So yeah the key is to go for product launches outside of internet marketing.
I generally go after 2-3 product launches a month now.
Here’s some of the markets I get into.
- Forex.
Forex product launches are similar to internet marketing except they’re less competitive and there’s usually more money to be made because the products are usually at a higher price. Some of them are $5,000+.
Launch Jacking Forex launches is becoming more competitive unfortunately. I’ve been promoting Forex launches for the past 2-3 years and when I started there was no competition but as you can guess the competition is growing fast and as more people catch on the competition will become too much just like it did in the internet marketing niche.
So Forex is ok at the moment but it’s getting more competitive.
- Computer Games!
Computer games generate so much buzz it’s unbelievable! However the payouts are very small and the competition is huge!
There’s no way you’re going to rank top of Google for the games name but it’s not that hard to rank for “Buy Game Name” etc.
Game launches are a good way to make a few thousand dollars but because you’re competing against very established gaming websites and sites like Amazon these launches can be hit and miss. For you to make money on these product launches you need to go for the long tail.
So there are a ton of niches and markets where products are launching and there is money to be made but what you need to remember is that this is not new and if you decide to buy the Launch Jacking product then a lot of other people will buy it too.
A Few Things To Know About Launch Jacking
- Launch Jacking isn’t easy. It can be boring promoting product after product and trying to get them to the top spot in Google.
- It can be hard work! And that’s no joke. Don’t be fooled by the Launch Jacking sales page that tells you it’s easy as pie and you’ll be making $50k per month by tomorrow! Sure you can make money or even a lot of money doing it but you’ll still have to work your ass off.
- Launch Jacking is not guaranteed! Not every product you promote will be a hit. Hell you might promote 10 products and only 3 of them make you any money. Yet you still worked your ass off.
- There’s 2 ways you can fail. The first way is that your site may not get into the top 3 where most of the traffic is so no one reads your review and buys. The second way is that your presell/ review just doesn’t convert or even the sales page itself doesn’t convert. It can happen!
- It doesn’t last forever. Unfortunately after the buzz has died down your site will stop making sales. So if you stop working then you stop getting paid.
The above are just some things you need to know.
Should You Buy Launch Jacking?
Honestly I was a buyer of a product called Bring The Fresh which was another product by these guys and it was pretty solid. It was basic info but still pretty good. So I expect more of the same when it comes to Launch Jacking. I expect the content to be good and solid and I’m sure if you follow it you’ll see some success. But just don’t expect to be making $50k per month by tomorrow.
Why You Should NOT Buy Launch Jacking
Lets face it 99% of the products that come out in internet marketing are a total SCAM but yet you’re going to be promoting them?
The people that make these products and do these product launches couldn’t care less about their customers. They just create half assed products slap up a slick sales page and get their scam buddies to email their lists.
You know it and I know it that 99% of these products are scams and this is a HUGE problem in internet marketing. Do you really want to be one of the scum bags promoting these products?
This is another reason that I don’t promote internet marketing products anymore because I don’t want it on my conscience that I’m helping make these scumbags rich and scamming people.
People buying these products that gurus/scammers release are desperately looking for a way to make money to support their family.
By launch jacking you are helping these “gurus” to continue their scam operation.
Hell some of you that will buy Launch Jacking are the same people complaining on forums how much you hate these scam product launches yet now you’ve found out you can make some money from them you don’t care anymore?
Hell no. Help stomp out these scammers from the internet marketing industry by NOT launch jacking and promoting their products.
Because at the end of the day people that come to Google looking for information on these products and see your glowing review are going to buy on your recommendation. And they just got scammed because of YOU!
Because little did they know that YOU didn’t buy the product and YOU had no idea if the product was good or not.
Believe me there are better way and more honest ways of making money. You don’t have to stoop to the level of bottom feeding off of product launches to make a quick buck. You are better than that. And to be honest I feel ashamed that I once did it too. Now I only promote the products I’ve tried and tested.
So can you make money launch jacking? Yes.
Should you buy launch jacking and do it? Not if you’re a decent human being and have a conscience.
